Nelson Cabral is portfolio manager at Desjardins Global Asset Management (DGAM). He is responsible for co-managing DGAM’s quantitative strategies and he also participates in research on quantitative investment solutions for several asset classes. Nelson joined DGAM in 2021 as part of the Hexavest integration. Previously, he held the position of analyst in the quantitative team, from 2016 to 2020, and analyst programmer, from 2011 to 2016, where he notably participated in the development of proprietary software used for portfolio management. His work experience also includes a Programmer Analyst position at MMA Finance from 2008 to 2010 and a Business Analyst position at Crédit Agricole S.A. in 2010. He holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Engineering School of Information and Digital Technologies (France, 2008) and is a CFA charterholder since 2017.
