| Founded in 2004, Hexavest is an independent investment management firm located in Montreal, Canada. The firm provides discretionary investment management of International equities (Europe and Asia), US equities, Canadian equities, and Tactical Asset Allocation for institutional clients.
The creation of Hexavest came about when its six founding partners decided to unite their efforts to build a dynamic and stimulating environment that would enable them to focus on generating value added for their clients.
Although Hexavest is a young firm, its portfolio managers have acquired wide investment experience in their field. They also share the same investment culture since they have worked together in various investment firms for many years.
Over the past 15 years, these experienced portfolio managers have developed an original and rigorous investment approach that has generated value in all types of market environments, especially when markets are turbulent.
Early in 2005, Hexavest hired Hamersley Partners LLP, a third-party marketing firm based in Boston, to better gain access to the US institutional investor market.
As of September 30, 2008, Hexavest counts 14 employees and manages close to $1B (CAD) in assets ($915 million USD) for 41 clients. |
